Free crochet pattern for the Mommy and Me Headband Set

Mommy And Me Headband Set

Make one or both!

This is a great way to use up those little bits of scrap yarn left over from other projects. 20
yards of dk or worsted weight yarn should be more than enough to make one of these.

Special stitch:
Shell= [dc, ch, dc, ch, dc]

Baby Size up to approximately 9 months:

Ch 61

1) sc in 2nd ch from hook, *skip next ch, shell in next ch, sk next ch, sc in next ch, repeat
from * until you have 8 shells (there will be 20 ch left-first tie), flip work over

2)Working on the other side of the chain, sc in sc, *skip next ch, shell in next ch, sk next
ch, sc in next ch, repeat from * until you have 8 shells. Row 2 should mirror row 1. Now
chain 20. fasten off.

This headband is easily adjusted. To make smaller, subtract 5 chains for each shell, and
work that many shells less. To make larger, either add 5 chains for each shell and work
that many shells more, or just make the ties longer.

Adult size:

ch 91

work as for baby headband, but make 12 shells on each side and end with 30 chains.
